Tri Delta at UA Sets Fundraising Record for Children’s Hospital

The University of Alabama’s Delta Mu chapter of the Delta Delta Delta national sorority has been recognized as this year’s top fundraiser for Tri Delta’s philanthropic partner, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During the 2013-2014 fundraising campaign, Delta Mu raised $204,414.79 for St. Jude, making it the first chapter to donate more than $200,000 in a single year. The contribution was part of some $6.1 million raised this year by Tri Delta chapters nationwide.

UA Students Participate in Co-op Program in Summer 2014

More than 180 University of Alabama students during the summer 2014 semester are receiving a hands-on educational experience at more than 60 companies and organizations through UA’s Cooperative Education Program. In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student. The experience enhances the students’ employment prospects after graduation.
