UA First Scholars Program Hosts Benefit Drive for Alabama SPCA

The First Scholars Program at The University of Alabama is holding an animal food and supplies drive through Friday, Nov. 15, to benefit the Alabama SPCA. Suggested donations include dog and cat food, pet collars, treats, leashes, blankets, beds, toys and flea prevention. Monetary donations in the form of cash, checksor Bama Cash are also welcome.

The University of Alabama’s Women in STEM Experience initiative will host its second Pathways to Success conference from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in Shelby Hall on campus. The University of Alabama’s Panhellenic Association will host the annual Sorority Row Trick-or-Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. Children from the Tuscaloosa area ages 12 and younger are invited to dress up in Halloween costumes and visit the lawns of the campus sorority houses on Magnolia and Colonial drives for candy and activities.
