UA College of Engineering Teams Up with Alabama School of Math and Science

The University of Alabama College of Engineering is partnering with the Alabama School of Math and Science for a one-week internship program on Nov. 10-14. The two-year-old program gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to participate in ongoing student research projects.

State Housing Affordability Index Falls 5.1 Points in Third Quarter, According to UA Center’s Statistics

The Alabama Housing Affordability Index fell 5.1 points in the third quarter to189.7, according to figures released by The University of Alabama’s Real Estate Research and Education Center. But despite the second consecutive fall in the AHAI, affordability levels remain near record highs in the state.

Tree to be Dedicated at UA Nov. 13 in Honor of Tuscaloosa’s James, Marine and Anna Brown

The University of Alabama will honor Tuscaloosans James Maxwell Brown, his sister, Marine L. Brown, and first cousin, Anna Brown, for their lifetimes of service to the University and Tuscaloosa community by dedicating a tree in their honor Thursday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. on the UA Quad.

Justice Lyons, UA Law Students Honored

Champ Lyons Jr., associate justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, was recently inducted into the Order of Samaritan, the highest service honor of the Public Interest Institute at The University of Alabama School of Law. Justice Lyons’ induction was recognition for his lifetime of public service to the state of Alabama.
