UA Feminist Caucus Offers Panel Discussion on Reproductive Rights

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Feminist Caucus will hold a panel discussion on reproductive rights in the South at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in Lloyd Hall, room 133.

The event is free and open to the public.

The panel, titled “Reproductive Feminism in the South: Debunking Myths and Discussing Abortion,” will discuss abortion access, reproductive rights, feminism and religion as well as general information on the services and needs provided by reproductive healthcare centers.

The panelists are Dr. Willie Parker, advocate; Gloria Grey, facilitator of Tuscaloosa’s West Alabama Women’s Center; Mia Raven, founder of Montgomery Area Reproductive Justice Coalition and legislative chair for Moral Monday Alabama; and Danielle Hurd, Alabama state organizer for Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity.
