UA Sororities to Host Trick-or-Treat for Area Children

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama’s Panhellenic Association will host the annual Sorority Row Trick-or-Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Children from the Tuscaloosa area ages 12 and younger are invited to dress up in Halloween costumes and visit the lawns of the campus sorority houses on Magnolia and Colonial drives for candy and activities.

UA sorority members from the Alabama Panhellenic Association and National Pan-Hellenic Council, also in costume, will provide candy to area children.

“We are really excited for this event,” said Katie Andrews, director of programming for the Alabama Panhellenic Association. “It is always a great way for the Greek community to spend time with and get to know the Tuscaloosa community.”

In addition to the candy and activities, UA’s Parker Adams program will host a haunted house for all ages on the third floor of Harris Hall, and students will offer face painting and Halloween games in Tutwiler Hall.

The Parker-Adams Program in The University of Alabama’s Harris Hall is a living-learning option designed to integrate classroom and residential experiences for students. The event will be canceled for rain or inclement weather.
