Recipients of the 2011 Premier Awards – the top individual honors for scholarship, leadership and service at The University of Alabama – were announced by UA President Robert E. Witt at an awards ceremony and dinner Feb. 24.

Bradley Named Assistant to Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at UA

Dr. Elva Bradley, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at The University of Alabama since 1999, has been promoted to the position of assistant to the vice provost for academic affairs, effective March 1.

Greek Councils Rename Cup to Honor UA President Witt

The President’s Cup, awarded to the top chapter in each of the four Greek governing councils at the Greek Excellence Awards Banquet each year at The University of Alabama, has been renamed the Witt Cup in recognition of the support and vision UA President Robert E. Witt has shown the Greek community.

Nationally Recognized Attorney to Deliver Mills Lecture at UA

Tim Wise, an anti-racism speaker and author, will lecture on “Between Barack and a Hard Place: Racism, Privilege and Denial In The Age Of Obama” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in Morgan Auditorium on The University of Alabama campus.

UA Senior Attends National Association of Health Underwriters Meeting
