TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Crossroads Community Center will host the final First Wednesdays @ Crossroads for the fall semester on Nov. 5 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Crossroads Lounge in Ferguson Center.
First Wednesdays provide a monthly, networking social for students, faculty and staff to share thoughts and feelings on intercultural topics or to showcase their culture in a relaxed environment.
First Wednesdays feature free popcorn, snacks, a live DJ, video games, movies, cartoons and more. The November event will also feature the recently unveiled Black Belt 100 Lenses: Greene County photography display as a backdrop and free Native-American Heritage Month posters.
Co-sponsors include: Creative Campus, University Programs, Team Ferguson, Women’s Resource Center, Blackburn Institute, Center for Community-Based Partnerships, International Programs and Study Abroad, Crimson Copies, EA Games, DJ Josh, UA 100 Black Men Association, Spectrum, Freshman Forum, SGA, UA Media, Crimson Gaming Institute and Crimson White.
First Wednesdays will resume for the spring 2009 semester in February, March and April.

Crossroads Community Center is an initiative of the UA Office of Community Affairs under the direction of Dr. Samory Pruitt.
