University of Alabama student Brandon McChristian hopes his research of sound waves generated from colliding football helmets leads to a a better understanding of the forces involved in those collisions and, perhaps one day, enables inexpensive sensing methods for a safer game.

The University of Alabama Honors College presents Jhino “The Piper” Ferreira in his one-man play, “Cops and Robbers,” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, at Tuscaloosa River Market, 1900 Jack Warner Parkway.
