A noted speech by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the voices contained in seven Tuscaloosa-area choirs will merge during the 2009 “Realizing the Dream … A Long, Long Way” concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Concert Hall in The University of Alabama’s Moody Music Building.
Noted pianist Andrew Willis will perform the next concert of the 2008-2009 University of Alabama Celebrity Series at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15 in the Concert Hall of the Moody Music Building on the UA campus.

October’s Moundville Native American Festival, staged at The University of Alabama Museums’ Moundville Archaeological Park, makes the list this year along with other venerable festivals around the state.
