Your Town Alabama Leadership Workshop Co-Sponsored by UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Center for Economic Development is co-sponsoring a Your Town Alabama Inc. leadership workshop and networking opportunity June 3-5 at Camp McDowell, located near Nauvoo.

UA is co-sponsoring the workshop along with the Alabama Historical Commission, the Alabama Association of Regional Councils, Appalachian Regional Commission, Auburn University Urban Studio, the Cawaco Resource Conservation and Development Council, the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham and Alabama Power Company.

The 11th annual workshop aims to specifically introduce small town and rural technical assistance providers and decision makers to the role of design in community planning.

Sixty-five Alabama citizens will be accepted to participate in the interactive and hands-on workshop and to make contact with experts in planning, design, economic development and resource preservation fields throughout the state.

The deadline for registering is April 30. The fee for the workshop ($180/double occupancy and $215/single occupancy) covers lodging for two nights, meals and all workshop materials. Single rooms are limited, so early registration is required.
