Students Invited to ‘Test Drive’ the UA Honors College

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Honors College is kicking off an initiative called “Test Drive: The Honors College” on Nov. 3 at the Ferguson Center to provide information to current students about joining the college.

Honors College representatives will be available at the kickoff event at noon to answer questions about the Test Drive and the college.

Students who are not currently enrolled in the Honors College can apply for admittance after their first semester; they must have a 3.3 GPA at the University.

After the kickoff, students can sign up for an appointment on the Honors College website, www.honors.ua.edu, to meet with faculty and learn more about the program.

Honors College students receive priority selection in housing and registration, classes are capped at 15 students, and the Honors College also has a specialized study abroad program at Oxford University.

The Test Drive will run from November through February. For more information, students can contact the Honors College Assembly’s diversity creation committee at hca.diversity@gmail.com.
