Legendary Coach Bobby Bowden to be at Bryant Museum for UA Game Day Book Signing

Bobby Bowden, long-time head football coach at Florida State University, will be at the Paul W. Bryant Museum on The University of Alabama campus Saturday, Sept. 11, from 2-4 p.m. to sign copies of his recently released book, “Called to Coach: Reflections on Life, Faith and Football.”

UA to Highlight Culture of India with Yoga, Dance Events

A special showcase will take place at The University of Alabama on Wednesday, Sept. 15, featuring the culture of India. The two scheduled events, a yoga workshop and a dance performance, are free and open to the UA and Tuscaloosa communities.

UA Alumni Chapter Hosts Riverboat Cruise

The University of Alabama National Alumni Association Tuscaloosa County Chapter will host its annual riverboat cruise “Rolling on the River with the Tide!” on Sept. 10 and Oct. 1 to benefit the chapter’s scholarship fund.

UA McNair Scholar to Present Research on Oral Histories of Chicano Activists

Lisa Elizondo, a University of Alabama junior and McNair Scholar who spent her summer collecting oral histories of Chicano-rights activists, will present “Off the Border: Mexican-Americans in Washington State” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in 125 ten Hoor on the UA campus.

UA Engineering Student Wins ITE Alabama Scholar Award

Nick Woychak, a University of Alabama senior in civil engineering, was recently named the Institute of Transportation Engineers Alabama Section Billy Jones Memorial Traffic Engineering Scholar.
