More than 400 student-athletes from all intercollegiate sports at The University of Alabama have joined together to help children in need this holiday season by buying gifts that will be given to Project Angel Tree on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 4:45 p.m. in the foyer of Coleman Coliseum.

The University of Alabama won the 2009 Beat Auburn Beat Hunger Food Drive by collecting 175,653 pounds of food to top Auburn University’s collection of 164,034 pounds of food.

UA Seeks Feedback on Foster Auditorium Plaza Renovation

The University of Alabama is soliciting feedback from the community on the concept of a plaza at Foster Auditorium that will be designed to commemorate the events surrounding the “Stand in the Schoolhouse Door.” Faculty, staff, students and members of the community are invited to share their comments at open meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 24 and Monday, Nov. 30 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in room 127 of the Biology Building on campus.
