TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Women’s Resource Center will sponsor a screening and discussion of the film “Walkout” on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Theater as part of Hispanic Latino Heritage Month events on campus.

“Walkout,” a docudrama, is a true story about one Mexican-American’s fight against academic prejudices in the height of the national civil rights movement. This story follows Paula Crisostomo as she coordinates a multi-school walkout in Los Angeles in 1968.

The event is co-sponsored by Housing and Residential Communities with the support of Crossroads Community Center. Admission is free and open to all.
