Danielle Spencer grew up around numbers. She loves them. They’re in her DNA. “Pinch me.” Those are the first words that came to mind when Elaine Smith fully realized she would be graduating from The University of Alabama. On May 6 Smith will travel from her home in Foley to cross the stage and accept her bachelor’s degree — a feat she never thought was meant for her.

Born and raised in Tuscaloosa to now working at the Capstone for 13 years, Cyndi Elliot grew up a Crimson Tide fan and has since become a member of the University and its legacy.
The VMA serves faculty and staff veterans as well as military-affiliated students.

UA will hold spring commencement with eight ceremonies May 5-7 at Coleman Coliseum.
