Astronomer Donates Fossil Footprints to UA Museum
Dr. Ron Buta, University of Alabama professor of astronomy and physics, has spent the past two years collecting slabs of fossil trackways from a surface coal mine in Carbon Hill. He recently donated his collection, which includes more than 1,200 slabs of fossil footprints, to UA Museum Collections.
