The University of Alabama department of political science will host guest lecturer Dr. Tammy Horn, senior researcher in apiculture at Eastern Kentucky University, to speak on the critical importance of honey bee pollination to agriculture and food security from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in 1092 Shelby Hall.

Terri Sewell and UA alumni for a wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14.

The UA English department is sponsoring the event, which is free and open to students, faculty and staff. A reception will follow the lecture.
