Tech Tour to visit UA, Tuscaloosa

The autoXLR8R “TechTour,” a 13-week program to visit several of the region’s top automotive research institutions to refine autoXLR8R’s technologies and work with world-renowned engineers and entrepreneurs, will bring its program to Tuscaloosa and The University of Alabama June 24 and 25.

UA’s Supply Store Hosts Civil Rights Photo Exhibit, Book Signing

More than 20 photographs depicting the civil rights movement will be displayed June 17-28 at The University of Alabama’s Supply Store in the Ferguson Center. The free exhibit, compiled from the archives of The Birmingham News, is sponsored by the UA College of Continuing Studies, The Birmingham News and AL.com. The exhibit will travel the state for the remainder of the year, representatives said.

UA’s Alabama-Cuba Initiative Continues With Play

Seth Panitch, associate professor of theatre at The University of Alabama, will take his play “Alcestis Ascending” on the road this summer to New York City, Havana and Alabama as part of his participation in creative research with the actors and dancers from UA and the Cuban El Instituto Superior de Arte .
