TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Joanne Terrell, an instructor in The University of Alabama School of Social Work, will conduct a six-hour workshop focusing on values and ethical principles for mental health professionals.
The workshop will be held May 7 in Room N-East Meeting Rooms at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center.The workshop lasts from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Terrell will discuss the integration of professional values with ethical principles and professional behavior. She’ll also cover ethical dilemmas and how to negotiate and demonstrate ethical behaviors in complex situations.
“This conference is one of the largest conferences in the state of Alabama for mental health professionals,” Terrell said. “More than 200 participants have pre-registered for the workshop.”
The conference is jointly sponsored by the Alabama Council of Community Mental Health Boards and The Institute for Continuing Education.
