The University of Alabama is holding three commencement ceremonies Aug. 5 and 6 to award degrees to more than 4,000 graduates. The ceremonies include students who were scheduled to participate in both May and August commencement ceremonies.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A total of 7,006 students enrolled during the 2011 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all As). The UA Dean’s and President’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students.
Dr. Andrew Billings has been appointed the Ronald Reagan Endowed Chair in Broadcasting in the College of Communication and Information Sciences at The University of Alabama.
Pieces from David Williams’ collection of “Gone With the Wind” memorabilia are on display in the Pearce Foyer, Gorgas Library, until Aug. 5 at The University of Alabama.
