UA Surpasses Goal in 2017 United Way Campaign
The University of Alabama celebrated the conclusion of its 2017 United Way Campaign by presenting a check for $454,929 to the United Way of West Alabama. The campaign, hosted by UA’s College of Community Health Sciences, surpassed its goal by more than 21 percent.

Powder-Puff Football Fundraiser Supports SAFE Center
The SGA recently held a 12-team powder-puff football tournament to raise money for the construction of the Tuscaloosa SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) Center, a new medical facility coming to the city that will provide medical aid and a safe haven for sexual assault victims.
