Roy Hoffman, an acclaimed novelist and journalist, will receive the 2009 Clarence Cason Award in Nonfiction Writing from The University of Alabama College of Communication and Information Sciences Thursday, March 5 at a dinner in his honor at the Hotel Capstone.
The National Teach-In on Global Warming will offer an opportunity for The University of Alabama community to discuss the impact of the environment and climate change. Teach-In sessions are planned from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5 in 205 Gorgas Library.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Graduate School has been awarded the prestigious Council of Graduate Schools/Peterson’s 2008 Award for Innovation in Promoting an Inclusive Graduate Community.
