UA Professor to Discuss His Book, ‘Rivers of North America’

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Dr. Arthur Benke, professor of biological sciences at The University of Alabama, will discuss his book “Rivers of North America” on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 2-3 p.m. at Rodgers Library on campus.

Along with discussing the book, Benke will give a lecture on man’s relationships to rivers. He will be joined by Drs. G. Milton Ward and Alex Huryn of the biological sciences department, who each co-authored chapters of the book.

The event is free and open to the public.
