UA’s University Supply Store to Host ‘Alabama Connections’ Book Fair

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — In celebration of The University of Alabama’s Homecoming, the University Supply Store-Ferguson Center will host “Alabama Connections” on Friday, Oct. 31. “Alabama Connections” is an informal book fair featuring books by UA and other local authors as well as books about the University. The fair will take place from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the first floor lobby of Ferguson Center and in the University Supply Store at Ferguson Center.

Several University authors will stop by throughout the day to meet and greet visitors and to autograph books. UA English Instructor Sean Hoade will sign copies of his novels, “Ain’t That America” and “Darwin’s Dreams” from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Other titles and authors showcased in the fair will include “The Bay of Pigs” by Howard Jones, “The Prince of Frogtown” by Rick Bragg, “A Mansion’s Memories” by Mary Mathews, “Swimmers in the Sea” by Denzil Strickland, and “Buried Secrets” by Jonathan Ross.
