TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 2006 Alabama Quality Award conference begins today and continues through Dec.1 at the Bryant Conference Center on The University of Alabama campus.
This year’s conference features 11 break-out sessions focusing on topics with broad appeal. Each session, led by one of Alabama’s top quality experts, is offered at separate times, allowing organizations the greatest opportunity to attend the sessions in which they are most interested.
The conference will also include an address from Michelle Serbenski of Bronson Methodist Hospital. Bronson, located in Kalamazoo, Mich., was a recipient of the 2005 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Serbenski will provide the key-note lunch address Thursday, Nov. 30, at noon.
Another special feature of the 2006 Alabama Quality Award conference is a post-conference workshop on Dec. 1, led by Dr. David Spong. Spong, who has led two different organizations to win Baldrige awards, will teach a four-hour workshop on “How to Lead Your Organization to a World-Class Level Using the Baldrige Criteria and Principles.” The session will begin at 8 a.m.
