Ethical Dilemmas in Legal Profession Focus of UA Symposium

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — William H. Simon, a professor at Columbia University School of Law, will deliver the keynote address for “Imagining a More Just World: The Place of Moral and Political Commitment in the Work of Judges and Lawyers Symposium” at noon April 10 at The University of Alabama School of Law.

Simon is an expert in professional responsibility and social policy, and he has written extensively about the ethical practices of lawyers.

Along with Simon, the nation’s foremost experts on professional responsibility and legal ethics will discuss ethical and moral dilemmas in the legal profession during a one-day symposium co-sponsored by The Journal of the Legal Profession and CLE Alabama.

The symposium starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Bedsole Moot Courtroom, room 140.

Participants are: Roger Berkowitz, professor, Bard College; Adrienne Davis, professor, Washington University School of Law; Paul Horwitz, professor, The University of Alabama School of Law; and Laura Weinrib, professor, University of Chicago School of Law.
