TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Visitors to the Alabama Museum of Natural History have opportunity to learn more about astronomy during the museum’s next Science Sunday, a free event scheduled for March 2 in Smith Hall, on The University of Alabama campus.

The program, called “Wonders of the Universe,” will be 1-4:30 p.m. The museum is partnering with UA’s department of physics and astronomy in the program, featuring meteorite exhibits, photos and a comet demonstration.

Open for all ages, the event includes activities for children in the Discovery Lab.

Representatives from area astronomical societies will share details of some of their activities and experiences.

UA’s Alabama Museum of Natural History is in Smith Hall near the Quad at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Capstone Drive on the UA campus.
