TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A luncheon honoring The University of Alabama’s 2008-2009 Coca-Cola First Generation Scholars is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11 beginning at noon at the Hotel Capstone.
Coca-Cola executives will be on hand to meet and honor the 12 freshman recipients of the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarships.
Made possible by a $1 million gift from the Coca-Cola Foundation to the University’s “Our Students. Our Future.” campaign, the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarships are awarded to deserving Alabama students who are the first in their families to attend college. Each will receive a $5,000 scholarship each year for the next four years.
