UADM’s Year Ends with 2019 Main Event February 27, 2019 Written by Bryant Welbourne 1 min read XFacebookLinkedInEmail The University of Alabama Dance Marathon’s Main Event was held Feb. 23 at the Ferguson Student Center. More than 1,000 UA students participate in the Main Event each year. UADM was created in 2011 with the mission of providing yearlong support for children being treated at Children’s of Alabama. Children’s Miracle Families join UA students at the Main Event each year. UA quarterback Tua Tagovailoa joined the Miracle Kids on stage for a few songs. The annual Main Event is the culmination of UADM’s year. UADM raised $248,796 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital at Children’s of Alabama.
