Former UA Quarterback Tyler Watts Speaks to UA Insurance Society

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama quarterback Tyler Watts of Pelham, now a color analyst on CSS, recently spoke to the Alabama Insurance Society about his other job as an insurance executive with Nationwide Insurance.

“I enjoy the fact that I have a job where I can go to bed every night excited that the next day I am going to be able to help someone,” Watts told the group. Watts’ presentation was entitled, “The Joy of Helping Others.” He recounted his playing days at The University of Alabama, and he talked about his career working in the insurance industry in Birmingham and how people’s lives are often changed by insurance.

Since joining the insurance business, Watts said, he has seen the important role that proper planning plays in the lives of others.

The Alabama Insurance Society is a non-profit organization open to all University of Alabama students interested in exploring a career in financial services or who want to become better consumers of financial services’ products.
