The University of Alabama will host a week of homecoming festivities, ending with the Crimson Tide taking on the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2:30 p.m.
Parade Plans
The homecoming parade will start at 10 a.m. with NASA astronaut and UA alum Bob Hines as the grand marshal.
The parade will start at Hudson Poole Fine Jewelers on Greensboro Avenue in downtown Tuscaloosa, turning east onto University Boulevard and continuing through campus.

Paint the Town Red
The community is invited to view businesses in downtown Tuscaloosa and the Strip participating in the Paint the Town Red competition throughout the week. All are welcome to view lawns decorated by student organizations on Friday, Nov. 14, after 10 a.m.
QR codes will be displayed outside each business and lawn display for everyone to vote on a favorite.
Lights! Camera! Crimson!
This year’s theme is “Lights! Camera! Crimson!” and the UA Homecoming Board has several events planned where students can show off their own legendary skills.
Homecoming Week Events
Sunday, Nov. 9-Thursday, Nov. 13
There will be a Cash for Cans Fundraiser in collaboration with Beat Auburn Beat Hunger. The drive begins Nov. 9 at 8 a.m. and ends Nov. 13 at 5 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 9
Roll Tide Run: Begins at 4 p.m. Check-in time is 2:30 p.m. and warm-up is at 3:30 p.m. at the corner of the Quad near Autherine Lucy Hall. Ticket purchase required. This event is also open to alumni and community members.
Homecoming Kickoff Event: 5-8 p.m., University of Alabama Student Center Lawn. This is a free event.
Spades & Lawn Games Tournament: 5-8 p.m., Student Center Lawn. Pre-registration or ticket purchase required.
Monday, Nov. 10
Bowling Competition: 6-9 p.m. at Bowlero.
Free Open Student Bowling: 6-10 p.m. All UA students welcome.
Tuesday, Nov. 11
Choreography Competition: 6 p.m., Coleman Coliseum. Tickets required. Open to alumni and community members as well. Parking at Coleman Coliseum will be limited and attendees are encouraged to park in the Capstone Parking Deck instead.
Wednesday, Nov. 12
Day of Service Event: Times vary by location, which includes Jeremiah’s Garden, Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, TROT (Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa) and the West Alabama Food Bank.
Flag Football Competition: Competition begins at 5:30 p.m., UREC Intramural Fields
Thursday, Nov. 13
Dodgeball Competition: 4 p.m., UREC Basketball Indoor Courts (South Gym)
Friday, Nov. 14
Pep Rally and Homecoming Queen Crowning: 6:30 p.m., the Quad.
Step Show, sponsored by the National Panhellenic Council: Show starts at 8 p.m., Coleman Coliseum. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are required and this event is also open to alumni and community members. Parking at Coleman Coliseum will be limited and attendees are encouraged to park in the Capstone Parking Deck instead.
Quad Event Parking
Parking is available in the West Commuter portion of campus along with the Student Center Deck/Lot and the Transportation Hub Deck for the evening of the pep rally. Anyone parked in these lots must vacate them after the conclusion of events on the Quad to avoid being towed in preparation for game day.
