UA to Hold Spring 2024 Commencement May 3-5

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama will hold spring commencement with eight ceremonies May 3-5 at Coleman Coliseum on the UA campus.

Friday, May 3

1:30 p.m. 

  • College of Community Health Sciences
  • College of Human Environmental Sciences 
  • Capstone College of Nursing

4:30 p.m.

  • College of Engineering 
  • School of Social Work

7:30 p.m.

  • College of Communication and Information Sciences
  • College of Education

Saturday, May 4

8:30 a.m.

  • Culverhouse College of Business, candidate last names A through K

Noon

  • Culverhouse College of Business, candidate last names L through Z 

3:30 p.m.

  • College of Arts and Sciences, candidate last names A through K

7 p.m.

  • College of Arts and Sciences, candidate last names L through Z

Sunday, May 5

2 p.m.

  • School of Law 

About 6,000 are expected to graduate, with about 5,400 of those participating in these ceremonies. Each year, UA awards around 9,000 degrees and of the graduates that may be tracked since 2015, 52% remain in Alabama.
