L’elisir d’amore (The Elixir of Love)

International Women’s Day Lunch and Learn

Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Conference

This prestigious event allows undergraduates to highlight and showcase their research or creative pursuits. In addition to exhibiting their work, the conference also allows students to gain public speaking experience, network with their professors and fellow colleagues and compete for cash prizes.

Artist Lecture from Sharon Butler

View many of Butler’s contemporary pieces, which she defines as “new casualism” all through the month of March in the Sarah Moody Gallery of Art. The artist will be presenting a special lecture regarding her process and inspiration, with a reception for the artist to follow.

The Northport Bunny Trail
March 1-31, Downtown Northport
Stroll along historic downtown Northport to view more than 75 giant eggs colorfully decorated by local businesses and organizations to celebrate the spring season and Easter at this free community event. Special events on the trail include the grand opening March 2, a Pet EGG-extravaganza March 17, and an Easter egg hunt on the trail March 24.
38th Annual Sakura Festival
March 23, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum
This festival celebrates the ties Tuscaloosa has with its sister city, Narashino, Japan, and is held in honor of Sakura, or cherry blossoms. The theme of this year’s festival, preserve, “reminds us of the value of each moment, while the return of spring awakens us to fresh possibilities in life.”
