Get Ready for Alabama Football Game Day

This story was updated to correct the Stadium Guest Services Center phone number.

Alabama Crimson Tide football returns to Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday, Sept. 2, to kick off the 2023 season. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re heading to a game this season.

What’s changing for 2023?

  • Roads in the interior of campus will close four hours prior to kickoff.
  • Champions Lane will offer concerts, autograph sessions, and food and beverages before each home game.
  • Gates at Bryant-Denny Stadium open two hours before kickoff.
  • New concessions will make it easier for fans to grab a refreshment and get back to their seats faster.

Here’s what else you need to know.

Parking

Public parking on campus is available for purchase through the UA Gameday website for $35 per game.

All parking passes will be delivered electronically via mobile delivery. You should purchase and download your parking pass before arriving on campus. Once at your parking lot, present your smartphone to be scanned for entry into the lot.

Parking lots will open at 7 a.m. for most games; however, they may open earlier for games scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

Faculty and staff with a valid faculty/staff hangtag can park in the Performing Arts Center parking lot located on Peter Bryce Boulevard behind Capital Hall.

Students with valid residential hangtags will have access to all their parking lots on game day. Students with a valid commuter permit will be able to park in the Northeast Commuter Lot at the corner of Campus Drive West and Bryce Lawn Drive, and the Upper Rec Center Parking Lot on Peter Bryce Boulevard.

For fan safety, roads around Bryant-Denny Stadium and in the core of the UA campus will close four hours prior to each kickoff.

Before the Game

Before you enter Bryant-Denny Stadium check out Champions Lane, located near the Tuska statue on University Boulevard and Wallace Wade Avenue. This area will offer live concerts before every game, LED screens for viewing other games, autograph sessions with current UA student-athletes, and food and beverages.

Kids of all ages can enjoy interactive obstacles and games at the Coca-Cola Kick-Off Zone located next to the Walk of Champions.

Both Champions Lane and Coca-Cola Kick-Off Zone open four hours prior to every home game.

Don’t miss welcoming the team as they make their way into the locker room. The Walk of Champions takes place two hours prior to kickoff.

Big Al and the Million Dollar Band will lead fans to the stadium from the Quad during the Elephant Stomp, which takes place one hour prior to the start of each home game.

Tailgating

Alabama football fans can tailgate for free on the west side of the Quad. Reservations are not required.

If you plan to tailgate on the Quad, you can drop off your tent, grill and other supplies Friday evenings between 6 and 8 p.m. and game days between 7 and 10 a.m. Times may vary slightly for some games so listen to 92.5 FM UA Info Radio or use the UA Gameday app to get the latest information. You have 15 minutes to unload your equipment.

Learn more about tailgating by visiting the UA Gameday website.

Getting in the Stadium

Again this year, tickets for games are mobile.

Student tickets are loaded onto mobile ACT Cards the Sunday before each home game. Student ticket info, balances and more can be found on MyTickets.

Non-student tickets can be accessed through the Alabama Crimson Tide App. You should download your tickets prior to arriving at Bryant-Denny Stadium and save them to either your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Learn more about mobile ticketing at RollTide.com.

If you have problems with your mobile tickets, visit one of the Guest Service tents located outside the stadium at each corner. These tents open two and one-half hours prior to kickoff and feature temporary Wi-Fi access for fans who need to download their mobile tickets.

All guests are required to undergo security screening prior to entry at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The stadium has a 360-degree security perimeter with six public security checkpoints.

Once inside the stadium, guest services kiosks are available on Level 1 at Sections C, AA and GG; and Level 8 at Sections NN-14 and SS-14. These kiosks provide phone charging stations, interactive maps to concessions, Where Legends Are Made hand fans, and other amenities.

New Concessions

To help fans get through concession lines and back to their seats faster, UA is improving line queuing, and providing some concession stands where fans can grab prepared items and then proceed to the checkout. Automated self-checkout kiosks will be available at several concession stands throughout the stadium. Vending machines that offer popcorn and soft drinks are also being added.

Also new for 2023, several beverage garden locations have been added where fans can easily grab a drink without waiting in line at a concession stand.

All concession stands inside Bryant-Denny Stadium are cashless and accept only credit or debit cards.
