TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Before the Crimson Tide host the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Bryant-Denny Stadium, campus will be abuzz with crimson pride as The University of Alabama kicks off homecoming week Oct. 16.

Kickoff of the homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 22, is set for 6 p.m. shown on ESPN. The homecoming parade will start at noon with former Olympian and UA alumna Lillie Leatherwood serving as grand marshal.

The community will be able to view lawns decorated by student organizations and businesses participating in the Paint the Town Red competition beginning around noon Friday, Oct. 21.

QR codes will be displayed outside each business and lawn display for everyone to vote on a favorite. Voting will be cut off around three hours before kickoff.
