Graduate Application Fees Waived During Free App Week

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Graduate School is waiving application fees for all prospective graduate students Nov. 8 to 15.

“All students deserve an opportunity to achieve greatness,” said Dr. Susan Carvalho, dean of the Graduate School. “Earlier this year, the Graduate School waived test score requirements for most programs and began accepting Duolingo English test scores. Free App Week is our next logical step toward greater accessibility and excellence in higher education.”

During Free App Week, the Graduate School aims to empower prospective students by removing financial barriers that may keep them from applying.

Unlike last year’s Free App Week, which only waived fees for domestic applications, this year’s event is extended to include international students. Interested candidates can find a complete list of application requirements on the Graduate School’s supporting documents page.

To receive a free application code, applicants must first submit their contact information on the Graduate School’s Free App Week page.

Prospective students must submit their applications and supporting documents, including unofficial transcripts, by 5 p.m. CST on Nov. 15 to have their application fees waived.
