UA’s Vedic Society Presents ‘Sacred Sounds’ Meditation Concert

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Vedic Society at The University of Alabama invites the public to its “Sacred Sounds” musical meditation concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in the ballroom at 3300 Ferguson Center on campus. The event will feature free vegetarian food and kirtan music by The Mayapuris. Participants will also be able to explore the tradition and culture of Bhatki yoga — yoga of the heart. Admission is free.

“’Sacred Sounds’ strives to create a deep, spiritual space where students from all backgrounds can come together to rediscover and reconnect to their inner selves,” said Nagaraj Hegde of the UA Vedic Society.
