UA’s Culverhouse Marks 30th Anniversary of Executive MBA Program

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Culverhouse College of Commerce celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Executive MBA Program at The University of Alabama with a rooftop reception at the Renasant Bank in downtown Tuscaloosa today from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The reception kicks off several events to be held in 2015 to celebrate the anniversary.

“This is a momentous occasion for the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Manderson Graduate School as we celebrate 30 years of the Executive MBA,” said Dr. J. Michael Hardin, dean of Culverhouse. “We look forward to the next 30 years as we continue to create innovative curriculum that will further benefit executives seeking an MBA degree.”

The reception commemorates the 30th anniversary of the enrollment of the first Culverhouse College of Commerce Executive MBA Program and will honor the founders of the program.

Highlights from the EMBA Program will be displayed covering the beginning of the program, in addition to photos from international trips, which began in 2003, the start of the Huntsville class in 2008, the Women’s Leadership Luncheon and the formation of the EMBA Alumni Network in 2013.

There will also be a graduation brunch and award ceremony for the EMBA Class of 2015 May 2, Family Day at the Tuscaloosa River Market June 14 and a Fall Football Tailgate (details and date to be announced).

All of the events are open to EMBA and Manderson Graduate School of Business alumni, students, faculty and staff.
