UA, Healthcare Business Solutions Partner on Analytics

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.  — The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce is partnering with Healthcare Business Solutions LLC in Birmingham on the innovative Business Analytics Lab at Culverhouse.

A signing ceremony took place today at UA with University representatives, including Dr. J. Michael Hardin, dean of Culverhouse, and Healthcare Business Solutions representatives.

“Our partnership with The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce Business Analytics Lab promises to further advance the data analytic capabilities of our family of companies in the healthcare arena,” said HBS President Sherrie LeMier Potts.

HBS is the third company to partner with UA and the College on the Analytics Lab. Lockheed Martin and SAS are the other two partners.

Development of the lab is underway in Bidgood Hall.

“We are honored to have HBS as a partner with our business analytics lab,” said Hardin. “We now have healthcare, aerospace and analytics specialties represented, which adds a great deal of diversity to the research lab. We look forward to adding even more partners as we develop the facility.”

Healthcare Business Solutions LLC  is based in Birmingham. The HBS family of companies has approximately 880 employees and offices in eight states. The company strives to implement business solutions in the ever-changing healthcare industry.
