UA UnlockED Offers Screening of Documentary on Education

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — UA UnlockED, a student-run organization at The University of Alabama dedicated to improving educational equality, will host a documentary screening at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in 120 Lloyd Hall on campus.

The event is free and open to the public. The featured film will be “Waiting for ‘Superman,’” which analyzes the failures of the American public education system by following the journey of several students striving to be accepted into a charter school.

UA UnlockED, which functions in partnership with Honors College, is committed to the belief that every child has the ability to achieve academic success.
