UA to Hold Summer Commencement Exercise Aug. 2

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama will hold its summer commencement ceremony Aug. 2 at Coleman Coliseum on the UA campus.

Commencement will begin at 9 a.m. and will include undergraduate and graduate students from all schools and colleges. There are 1,708 degree candidates.

Dr. James P. Cover, professor in the department of economics, finance, and legal studies in UA’s Culverhouse College of Commerce, will serve as commencement marshal. Cover just completed his 32nd year of teaching at UA.

The weekend ceremony will be broadcast live over the Internet. The webcast will be archived on this UA website, ua.edu/commencement/, and it will be available for viewing for 30 days following the ceremony.
