UA National Alumni Association Honors Students With Awards

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.  — The University of Alabama National Alumni Association recently named the recipients for the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Awards, 2014 Alumni Student Awards and 2014 Outstanding Senior Awards.

The 2014 Distinguished Alumna Award winner is Camille M. Elebash, of Tuscaloosa, and the 2014 Distinguished Alumnus Award winner is Robert E. Luckie III, of Birmingham. The recipients will be recognized at the annual Alumni Weekend Luncheon Saturday, April 19.

The association acknowledges and honors an alumna and alumnus of UA for their contributions to UA and the association. Selection for the Distinguished Alumni Awards is based on loyalty and service to UA and the association, character and personal life, professional achievement or success in chosen endeavor and community service on the  local, state or national level.

The National Alumni Association also recognizes and honors students in the senior class. The students have excelled in academics and extracurricular activities, shown strength of character and maturity and displayed exceptional hospitality toward guests and friends of UA. The recipients of the 2014 Alumni Student Award are Kelsey Beth Gibson, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Joshua David Moon, of Arlington, Tenn.

The 2014 Alumni Outstanding Senior Award winners are: Kirkland Back, Gadsden; Eric Bordlee, Baton Rouge, La.; Alexandria Graham, Troy; Jeffrey Kim, Huntsville; Katie Lamberth, Alexander City; Michael Steven Malley Jr., Philadelphia; William Pylant, Hampton Cove; Mary Sellers Shaw, Birmingham; Mary Katherine Sweeney, Alpharetta, Ga.; and Garrett Taylor, Odenville.
