TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Delta Sigma Pi fraternity at The University of Alabama asks students, faculty and the Tuscaloosa community to participate in a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Life South Bloodmobile, which will be parked on the north side of the UA Quad.
Delta Sigma Pi seeks to help Life South make its daily goal of blood donations so that it can meet the blood supply needs of area hospitals. A blood donation from one person can help save up to three lives and, as part of the donation process, participants each receive a mini physical that includes a cholesterol screening, as well as checks of blood pressure, heart rate and iron levels.
