What is a dollar? A buck is a buck is a buck, right? But what does that dollar mean to an artist, a nutritionist or a small business owner? The University of Alabama’s Creative Campus tackles that subject at an Object X event Monday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. in ten Hoor Hall’s room 30.

Students Compete in Miss UA Pageant

A new Miss University of Alabama will be selected at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa. Marking 40 years as a preliminary competition for the Miss Alabama and Miss America titles, the 2014 Miss UA pageant will feature 17 students vying for the crown in the categories of private interview, swimsuit-physical fitness, talent, evening wear and on-stage question. The winner will receive numerous gifts, including a full-tuition scholarship and book scholarships for her year of service, and she will also represent UA at the 2014 Miss Alabama Pageant in Birmingham in June.
