ALABAMA VS. LSU— The Crimson Tide football team faces the LSU Tigers Saturday, Nov. 9, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS. Campus officials anticipate a large crowd and heavy pedestrian traffic on the streets; therefore, core campus roadblocks will be set at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
- How to Get in the Game — Whether you currently have tickets or need tickets, you will want to know how to “Get in the Game,” how the changes to the way student tickets are handled, how to enter the stadium (Gate 30 or 31) and how parking near the stadium affects you. - Alabama vs. LSU Special Olympics Unified Sports Flag Football Game — Special Olympics will host a Unified flag football game at the UA Student Recreation Center at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The teams will be composed of students from UA and Louisiana State University, as well as local Special Olympics athletes from Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge, La. The Special Olympics Unified Sports flag football game will include notable attendees such as Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley and members of the Million Dollar Band. - University Boulevard Closing for “ESPN College GameDay” — “ESPN College GameDay” will broadcast live in front of Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday morning. University Boulevard from Campus Drive West to Stadium Drive will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. during the broadcast. Vehicles heading west on University Boulevard to access Stadium Drive for Quad drop-offs will not be affected. The road block will be set up to force all vehicles on University Boulevard to turn right on Stadium Drive.
- Parking Reminder — On game-day weekends during football season, many parking lots are used for Tide Pride and game-day parking. The following lots and areas must be vacated by 5 p.m. on Fridays of all home games: Colonial Drive south of Eighth Street, the south one-third section of the Coleman Coliseum lot, the Tutwiler main lot and “triangle” lot, the lower Student Recreation Center lot, the Northeast Campus Drive lot and the large lot east of the Moody Music Building. Re-entry to all faculty and staff lots, with the exception of the Ferguson deck, will be restricted after 5 p.m. on game-day Fridays. Click here for a map that shows the parking-lot closures.
- Prohibited Items — Bryant-Denny Stadium and all other Alabama athletics facilities prohibit the following items. This policy will be strictly and consistently enforced on Saturday.
Oversized bags over 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches (includes backpacks, purses, etc.)
Chair backs larger than a single seat (16 inches wide)
Coolers
Weapons
Artificial noisemakers (bells, horns, whistles, cow bells, etc.)
Outside food or drink

- Tailgating Reminder — Tailgating is an important part of every football season, especially on the Quad. Following campus policy for tailgating helps to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience. Friday is a regular academic day at UA, and classes are still in session until 6 p.m.; therefore, reserving areas for personal tailgates on the Quad is not permitted until after 6 p.m. on Fridays prior to home games. Reserving all other campus areas is not permitted until after 5 p.m. on Thursday evenings prior to home games. The only areas that are permitted to be reserved prior to these times are those that have been approved in advance through the campus grounds-use permit process. - Radio and Television — Click here for a list of radio stations that will broadcast the football game. Faculty, staff and students who are not in Tuscaloosa on football game days can click here for alternative locations to view the games.
- Taxis — The city of Tuscaloosa has established a game-day zone for taxis close to Bryant-Denny Stadium in the Strip area. Taxis will be located on University Boulevard between Red Drew Avenue (14th Avenue) and Campus Drive (12th Avenue) and will be monitored by the Tuscaloosa Police Department. “Taxi Only” signs and yellow cones will block the spaces from other vehicles. Taxis will be located in this area after all home UA football games until the following morning. People who need a taxi should look for the signs and wait in the taxi-only area for the next available taxi. For more information, call Tuscaloosa 311 at 205-248-5311.
