UA First Scholars Program Hosts Benefit Drive for Alabama SPCA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The First Scholars Program at The University of Alabama is holding an animal food and supplies drive through Friday, Nov. 15, to benefit the Alabama SPCA.

Suggested donations include dog and cat food, pet collars, treats, leashes, blankets, beds, toys and flea prevention. Monetary donations in the form of cash, checks or Bama Cash are also welcome.

Donations may be dropped off in 311 Lloyd Hall or at the First Scholars donation table, which will be set up at the Ferguson Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through Friday, Nov. 15. Donors may also request a pick up by sending an email request to jfranks@aalan.ua.edu.

The goal of the First Scholars program is to support first-generation college students and enhance their ability to graduate.
