The Office of Information Technology is implementing a program of scheduled changes to UA’s wireless services. The changes will reduce and eventually eliminate the use of unsecured wireless connections on UA’s network. The UA RESNET Wireless Network is no longer available. Students will still have full access to wireless services using the UA-WPA2 and, where necessary, the UA-WPA-PSK connections. Detailed instructions for connecting to the UA-WPA2 network are provided on the OIT website at http://oit.ua.edu/oit/services/wi-fi-protected-access-wpa. Individuals may contact the IT Service Desk at 348-5555 if they experience problems connecting.
MyTickets will be open in test mode only beginning at 9 a.m. on Sept. 3 through 9 p.m. on Sept. 5 for students to view the changes in MyTickets for the upper or lower deck ticket assignment and gate information.
Tickets will have either an upper or lower deck assignment.
- Upper-deck tickets enter through Gate 30.
- Lower-deck tickets enter through Gate 31.
Starting Sept. 15 at 1 p.m., MyTickets will open for UA’s first home football game. Transactions completed at this point are live and affect a student’s football-ticket account. Students can log in to MyTickets prior to the day of the game to verify which deck and gate they should access by using one of the following methods:
- myBama.ua.edu
- UA’s mobile application in the Student feature
- Action Card (actcard.ua.edu)
On game day, students who enter the wrong gate will be turned away and will have to get in line at the correct gate. To avoid this, students should verify their deck assignment and gate information in MyTickets prior to arriving at the gate.
For questions, contact the Action Card Office at 348-2288.
