UA Alumni Association Offers Tailgate Parties at Away Football Games

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Alumni Association will sponsor Tailgatin’ With the Tide events at Alabama away football games this fall in Atlanta as well as College Station, Texas, and Lexington, Ky.

The first tailgate will be from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.  EDT on Saturday, Aug. 31, in an area adjacent to International Plaza in downtown Atlanta near the Georgia Dome. Cost is $55 for adults and $25 for children. The event includes a buffet from Jim’Nicks, open-air tents and seating for fans as well as appearances by the Alabama Cheerleaders and Big Al.

The second will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Simpson Drill Field near Gene Stallings Boulevard in College Station. The event will be adjacent to the set of ESPN College GameDay if the program is broadcast from College Station. Cost is $50 for adults and $25 for children. The event includes a Tex-Mex gameday buffet as well as appearances by the Alabama Cheerleaders and Big Al.

The third will be three hours before kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Red Mile, across the street from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Cost will be $50 for adults and $20 for children. The event includes a buffet, parking for the game and bus service to the stadium.
