TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama will hold its summer commencement ceremonies Aug. 3 at Coleman Coliseum on the UA campus.

Commencement begins at 9 a.m.

Students from the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Education, College of Human Environmental Sciences, Capstone College of Nursing, College of Commerce & Business Administration, College of Communication & Information Sciences, College of Engineering and School of Social Work will participate in the ceremony.

More than 1,600 degrees will be awarded Saturday.

Dr. Scott Hestevold, professor and chair of the philosophy department, will serve as commencement marshal.

Saturday’s ceremony will be broadcast live over the Internet. The webcast will be archived on this UA website, ua.edu/commencement/, and it will be available for viewing through August 2013.
