TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama will host a “Celebration of Life” in memory of former Crimson Tide Director of Athletics Mal Moore in Coleman Coliseum on the UA campus on Thursday, April 4, at 3 p.m. Further details will be announced as they are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, gifts or letters, the Moore family requests that those wishing to express condolences consider a donation in memory of Mal Moore to the Crimson Tide Foundation (c/o Telisa Blanton, P.O. Box 870343, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0343) or the Mal and Charlotte Moore Caring Days Center (P.O. Box 3049, Tuscaloosa, AL 35403).

Limited public parking for the memorial service will be available in the Coleman Coliseum parking lot or the eastern half of the soccer lot after 1:30 p.m. Parking for people with disabilities will be in the Coleman lot. Crimson Ride buses will provide transportation from the soccer lot to Coleman Coliseum and back from 1:45-5 p.m.
In addition, parking will be available in the City of Tuscaloosa’s downtown intermodal facility at 601 23rd Ave. with Tuscaloosa Transit shuttle service to Coleman Coliseum. The shuttle will run from 2-6 p.m. and will stop on Bryant Drive in front of the coliseum. Fees are $1 for the general public and $.50 for seniors/disabled. UA action card holders ride free.
Students and employees who plan to attend the service should take the Crimson route bus to the Coliseum for the ceremony. The bus will drop off and pick up on Bryant Drive in front of Coleman Coliseum. All Crimson Ride routes and times are available on TransLoc.

Denny Chimes will begin playing at 4 p.m. on Thursday in honor of Coach Moore.
